Living on the Other Side of the Cross
Perspective has a lot to do with how we choose to live. Perspective is the way we look at things, our viewpoint, our frame of reference. It is the way we view life.
We have a choice to have our identity grounded in one side of the cross or the other. Jesus died to set us free from the power of sin, but He doesn’t want us to carry the perspective that we are sinners. As believers, we’re not.
We have been purchased with a price and we have been redeemed and adopted into the family of God. We are no longer sinners driven by the sinful nature but we are now called saints, living by the Spirit of God. We are part of God’s royal family and live from heaven to earth.
Jesus went to the cross with the intention to bring us into something far more superior then what we could ever possibly think or imagine. The cross is the door that opens up to this amazing reality. The cross was never meant to be a stopping point but rather a transition point between two realities. As we pass from one reality (sinner) into another (son) we come into a realm where we can begin living out our true identity and purpose. At the door of the cross I leave my sinner identity and step into my true identity as a royal son in His Kingdom.
It’s a Kingdom perspective for every believer. Let’s choose to live the resurrected life as children of God and citizens of Heaven.
