This Weekend-Getting God’s Vision for Your Life

This weekend we will be finishing up our Series on “Getting God’s Vision for Your Life.”

We will be looking at the life of Abraham who is found in the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11. It says that when God called him that he “obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” OK. That got Abraham into the Hall of Faith? That’s surprising! But seriously, it’s huge in that he stepped into an uncertain future, by faith. He obeyed without having everything laid out for him.

Also, God removed things from his life in order to bring him into his destiny. A vision from God is manifested by what is removed. The famous sculpture Michelangelo said,  “I saw the angel in the marble and I carved to set it free.” He chipped away at all that was not the angel. The beauty of the sculpture came from what he removed, not what he added!  Something to think about and consider.

We will be looking at all this and more. As a growing house of visionaries, I look forward to going after this together! The Lord has something amazing for each of you!

This Weekend-Vision (2)

This weekend we continue on in our Vision Series, Vision 2 (what an incredibly unique title)

You are saved for a purpose. God has something specifically set aside for you to do. Vision is getting a revelation of your purpose.

•    Without a personal vision, life loses meaning
•    Without meaning life loses hope
•    Without hope we become resentful (among so many other things)

If we have no vision we are bound to re-live our past. We have to have a vision from the Lord that exceeds our current circumstances. Our vision has to be far beyond just getting through our week (or day for that matter). Vision points you to true North. It charts your coarse. Helen Keller once said, “what is worse then being blind is to have sight without vision.”

Finding God’s purpose and vision will lead you to five unique challenges . This weekend we will look at these challenges, studying them in Exodus 3 and 4 out of the life of Moses. With each challenge the Lord affirms Moses, providing him an answer that moves him to confidently go into Egypt and free over 2.5 million people. The answers the Lord gives Moses apply for each us today.

I believe the church should be a house of visionaries, fulfilling the purpose and dreams God has put in their hearts. Looking forward to going after this together!

Vision Series

This weekend we kickoff or Vision Series. This Sunday I will help our church discover each persons own personal vision that God has for their life. Then in week two of the series we will look at a growing corporate vision for Harvest House.

This Sunday we will be studying  Exodus 3 and 4, focusing on how Moses recieved His purpose and vision.  Moses came up with five excuses that he felt were legit to keep him from stepping into the vision God had for his life. Moses’ response to God’s call on his life are in many ways what we all face when we receive His vision, both personally and corporately.

The truth is that a vision from God will seem impossible. In fact, in many ways it is! He gives this to us to make us dependant on Him. This is what Moses faced. God has a solution to every excuse. The cool thing is that he wants to co-labor with us!

At the end of the service I will hand out a worksheet that will help you determine what God might be saying to you regarding His vision for your life.

Apple iPad for Ministry?

New iPad from Apple

Here is a cool link discussion (below) on how others see using the Apple iPAD for ministry when it becomes available. These are great ideas for making ministry more effective and creative. Let me know your thoughts. Is there any practical and relevant use of the iPAD for ministry?

Thanks Michele for coming to HHC

We had Michele Perry back with us at Harvest…great time. She is has a ministry in Sudan running an orphanage with 93 kids.

She is always such an inspiration to many regarding the call of God on your life and a “yes” to go. When that is in the heart, the Lord comes along side, give us strength and the anointing to be successful!
