Holy Spirit and the Kingdom

The Holy Spirit is the most important person on the earth. He lives in every believer and He is on most. He is in me for my sake and He is on me for yours.

Jesus had the Spirit in Him for He was fully God. He had the Spirit on Him to expose God to world, demonstrating how to live the normal christian life.

The Fruit the Spirit is to grow the internal Kingdom in us. The Gifts of the Spirit are to increase the Kingdom of God around us. While the born-again experience redeems us, being anointed with the Holy Spirit empowers us. We need both.
I believe the anointing (the Holy Spirit smeared on us) can grow and increase, much like favor and authority. We should be desiring this increase to glorify God and demonstrate His love to the world.

I encourage you to fall in love with the Holy Spirit. Understand that He is a person who is sent by Jesus to teach, counsel, comfort and empower us. Do you have more of His presence on you today, it is possible.

Initial Observations KC iHOP Breakout

I have had the privilege of being in Toronto, Pensacola, Lakeland and Redding for moves of the Spirit. I love the moving and activity of the Holy Spirit when He decides to land and literally breakout on a group of people.

This post is meant to be a short blog on what I see happening in KC compared to what I have previously seen in other outpourings. This is defietely a humble look at what is happening. I love to partner with friends who are engaged in revival and I believe I will see and be apart of one in the Bay Area!

For the last week or so the iHOP has been hosting extended meetings as the Holy Spirit has come and has overwhelmed the students and staff. A “suddenly” that has come about through ten years of night and day prayer. I believe they are in the eighth night of extended meetings.

What I am initially seeing. These are common threads of renewal that I have witnessed over the years. It is cool to see.

Hunger-there is definitely increased hunger for the Holy Spirit, an expectation.
Language – the culture of a renewal move. Songs are being sung about the “River” etc  and the language coming out like “wash over me”, “more Lord”, “fill them up”.
Fathers Love – Though this has not been a major focus in every outpouring, the fathers love is definitely a focus here.
Testimonies – Lots of testimonies coming in on how the Holy Spirit is bringing healing, deliverance and saving people
Manifestations – People falling, laughing, shaking, resting in the Lord etc…These are all common characteristics of an outpouring. The body is reacting to God’s glory and power
Healing – Physical and emotional healings.
Deliverance – At this point, primary, from addictions, self-hatred and depression.
Joy and Freedom - Lots of joy and freedom filling the hearts. A big breakthrough here.

Feels a lot like home. The atmosphere, though unique, is common. The same Holy Spirit!

Because it is a 24/7 Prayer and Worship Movement over the last ten years the infrastructure is in place to maintain the flow of revival. We will have to wait and see what happens as it matures and grows.

Throw Away the Glasses: Womens Eyes Healed during our Church Service

Ralph and Sara (the woman who was healed) have recently moved to the area to attend CSSM, our Supernatural School of Ministry. During our morning service she recieved healing to her eyes. What is interesting is that it happened at the end of the service during corporate prayer. No one officially laid hands on her.  I love it when God shows up and gives gifts to people just because he loves us. He is always good!

Here is Sara’s Testimony:

“Recently, I have been experiencing a progressive degeneration of my vision, in particular, when reading and driving a car. During Sunday’s service, on 10/18/2009, there was call for corporate prayer. During the prayer, I felt a burning/hot sensation come upon my eyes as if a hot compress was placed upon them. This sensation lasted approximately for

30 minutes. After the service, when my husband and I started to drive back home I first noticed that my eyes were sensitive to light. Then to my surprise, not only I was able to clearly read fine print, but also I notice a significant improvement in my overall vision. Now I am able to read and drive a car without the use of my glasses.

First and foremost, I would like to thank and praise our Lord Jesus for this healing. I would like to encourage others to faithfully bring your prayers to Him and He will answer them”

Healing at Disneyland Video

You have to check this out.

About a week ago I posted the testimonies coming out of a group of college students praying for people and seeing them healed at Disneyland. These students attend Bethel’s Supernatural School of Ministry in Redding.

Note: We have a Bay Area Supernatural School of Ministry starting it’s 2nd year in September. For more info go to Harvest House Church. The 2009 info will be posted soon.

Well, here is the video of what happened. I want to thank the team for stepping out and releasing God’s presence and His goodness. Hannah Ford shot the video and Brandon Lee edited it down.

Below this video are the links to each full length video, four in all.

Let this stir and move us to action to pray for healing in others.

Forward this on to others. Add your comments below, let me know your thoughts!

Supernatural Lifestyle

Sean Smith was with us Sunday. He preached out of Acts 19 with a focus on a supernatural lifestyle.

The most favorite topic in my life.

Sean preached that we need to be roused to the moment (be ready to be used by God), recognize the movement (of the Holy Spirit) and release the manifestation (what the Holy Spirit wants to do at any given moment).

We need to be ready to move out with what the Holy Spirit is saying. We cannot walk in the Spirit if we don’t talk to the Spirit. Change in a city occurs when the Holy Spirit is moving through us. Interaction with the Holy Spirit will lead to transactions and transactions will lead to transformation. We cannot suffer from interaction deprivation (with God). We need to connect more with the Holy Spirit and be confident in what He is saying and then move out in power.

We need to do five things:

1. Cultivate God’s presence in our lives

2. Incubate God’s faith in the heart that moves to action

3. Fellowship with those who will stir us up in God.

4. Be motivated by love.

5. Learn to follow the finger of God.

I was reminded and stirred again to have a deepening fellowship with the Holy Spirit in my own life. I was encouraged to believe that there is a growing company of people who want to see the raw power of God released in the Bay Area. I think the greatest gap in the world is between knowing and doing. Somehow we need to see greater levels of activation!

I pray that this week we all move out in greater measure. To be confident in the voice of God and step out in faith. This will be my goal. How about you?

What are some things that keep us from stepping out for God more often?
